Secure Data Services

There are three core principles that you need to consider when you are evaluating Backups, Data Archiving, and Recovery.

  1. The solution must be automated so you can set it and forget it. If there is a problem, the system should notify you. Trying to remember to change tapes or rotate media is begging for a problem.
  2. The data storage needs to be located at some other geographical location than your business. Natural disasters are rare, but remarkably devastating when they occur. Be sure your backup solution is in another location to exponential improve your odds of having Data available to restore.
  3. The security of your data archives must be unquesitoned. Putting all of your data on a removable device, to have that device stolen could compromise sensitive information and put you at risk for a law-suit.

If you still can't seem to make that Tape Backup system work right, a word of advice. Give it a rest! Studies we have read indicate that 80% of Tape Backups are not usable. Unless you have well above average support engineers in your organization, you may wish to reconsider using Tape Backups to protect your business.

As an alternative, consider using our Secure Data Services. It's automatic, reliable, and field tested to work - even when other backup systems failed.
